It's a mystery why Varun's intimacy with his on-screen wife Yami appears only as blink-and-miss flashes in Badlapur
Varun Dhawan and Yami Gautam's steamy lip-lock from their latest film Badlapur which had caught a lot attention has gone almost missing from the film.
There's only a fleeting moment when the kiss flashes on the screen in a music video which is played when the film ends and a substantial part of the audience is walking out of the theatres.
The bold moment between the lead pair was the most talked about point of the trailer.
SpotboyE.com has it that the scene was a part of the film in one of Yamini's flashback scenes but eliminated during the final edit.
Varun and Yami chose not respond, but Sriram quipped, "I felt that scene was not required in the story."
Censor Board's Chairman Pahlaj Nihalani says, "We censor only what is given to us."
Did the film's director Sriram Raghavan chicken out? Did he not want to get into a debate with the new stringent Censor Board? Ponder a while.
The film has opened well at the ticket windows. Varun's dark and edgy performance has been well received. Ditto for Nawazuddin Siddiqui's villainous part.
